Edgesource delivers cybersecurity solutions for clients including the US Department of State (DOS) and the Department of Defense (DoD). Edgesource directs the cybersecurity program on our DOS Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) contract, covering the DOS network (OPENNET, CLASSNET, FMNET and GINL) within a NOC environment. Our work supports the organization’s risk management framework, including all Authorization and Accreditation (A&A) packages, hardware/software assessments (including security impact analysis), network and workstation scanning for vulnerability and compliance, virus protection, and firewall and IDS/IPS management. Edgesource’s performance and innovation has led to the location being recognized as the top site out of 302 sites in terms of security preparedness and incident response capabilities.
Related to DoD support, Edgesource’s experience includes Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) and Defense Information Assurance Risk Management Framework (DIARMF) A&A, as well as older DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) and Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12). We have experience working on unclassified and classified networks, to include NIPR, SIPR, JWICS, and our engineers adhere to DoD 8570.01-M maintaining the required IA and Computing Environment (CE) certifications. We also provide cybersecurity and information assurance training across the federal government through our support of the Department of Homeland Security’s Information System Security Line of Business (ISSLOB).
